Hanna Kirishima
Hanna Kirishima was born in Tokyo in 1996 and studied Visual Arts and Photography at Parsons School of Design. Her work spans illustration, painting, design, and film, with a wide range of creative and production processes. Drawing from her personal experiences and perspectives, her work often explores the intricacies of identity and belonging, with a focus on the often overlooked or marginalized voices in society. Through visual storytelling, she seeks to raise awareness around social and environmental issues, including animal welfare and the climate crisis.
Her most recent work delves into the realm of dreams, where she sees alternate lives and reflections of our innermost fears, desires, and truths. In her series Dreamscapes, Hanna invites viewers into this alternate world, encouraging exploration of the connections that bind us all and pondering the deeper mysteries of existence. She believes that dreams are not only personal but universal, transformative experiences that offer insight into our relationships with ourselves, each other, and the world around us.
